On the makeup of the Summer Bash, I've never really understood why the RFL think that putting by far the two supported clubs in one match is a good idea.
How many of the people who are going to support the Bulls are doing so because we are playing HKR? Very few, I'd wager. Most are going because it's a weekend away, plenty of time for a drink, food and fun, with rugby matches thrown in. Same with the 3500 who have allegedly bought tickets from Hull - surely they are going for the weekend in Blackpool and the craic.
If they'd gone for 1v2, 3v4, and so on, I seriously doubt that the crowd would have been diminished in any way whatsoever. Then they could have had Hull KR vs London as highly competitive match to round out day 1, and then Bulls vs Halifax as a spicy local derby to round out day 2.
As it is, by the time we get to the final game of Day 2 there'll probably be about 500 people in the ground...
