Id imagine that next years central funding has been used to cover wages this season and not much else. After it broke mid season that players had been paid on time, according to contract, but not 2 days early as they had been expecting (edited to combat fake news) the last thing Bradford needed was to have players declaring their contrcts null and void half way through a season so I guess the RFL stepped in. The downside been that there was no real way for Bradford ever to make that money back so although the RFL may have thought they were doing the right thing it was actaully creating a bigger problem and maybe the special measures were added to try and force AC's hand and hopefully bring in some new investment from somewhere.
I know its been specualted how much Bradford have spent on their squad and a six figure pension payment shortfall, if true, suggests that those figures may not be that wide of the mark.

This last bit is interesting though. Salary cap has been about £600k. workplace pensions are 8% total - made up of employer 3% and employee 5%.
So I'm struggling to make 8% of £600k add up to a 6 figure sum. I've got about £48k. Unless this has been going on longer than a year.
Also interesting is the fact that the staff have had their pensions paid, but not the players. How can that discrepancy be explained?
