Macca being interviewed on BBC. He is very very defensive....not seem him like that before - he looks very angry.
Part of me feels sorry for Macca, because he has once again been badly let down by his players. But he has recruited those players and it is his job to instil the mental toughness needed to win matches from various scenarios. I'm afraid the interview didn't really inspire confidence that things can change for next week.
I'd like to see Deacon dropped but who else can we play there? Perhaps if Solomona is back we could look at moving Menzies to 6 and Jeffries to 7. Deacon is doing very little right now other than throw the odd hospital pass and missing far too many tackles. I'd go for the following team for Leeds:
Platt (despite todays blunder he has been playing well)
Halley
Sykes
Nero
Tadulala
Menzies
Jeffries
Burgess
Newton
Lynch
Solomona
Cook
Langley
Worrincey
Koppy
Scruton
Crossley/Donaldson/Whitehead/Hyde
Let's give one of the young guys a go. Ok Leeds at home isn't the ideal time to blood a young un but I don't see the benefit of having an out and out winger on the bench. I assume Crossley is fit, in which case I'd give him a chance to make a name for himself. Quite often a young player actually makes his name is such high profile games.
