Why is our best attacking player feeding the scrums in good attacking positions it happened 3 times Gaskell feeding with Addy stood out at receiver.

Any news on Sidlow's injury? The comeback is made even more remarkable when you realise that Sidlow was off injured for all of it!

As most have already said, we were anonymous for 3 quarters of that game. Played well for 15 mins against a really good side and managed to salvage some points.

Any news on the Sidlow injury?

Until it all changed, Leigh bossed us in most areas, but not by much, and some on here are being way too harsh. We were making too many errors, the one-man tactic wasn't working, and Leigh were winning most of the collisions and had plenty running in support in attack, and we were second best. The giveaway try to take it to 6-32 was just a freak, but that was the stage i feared the worst, in recent years that would have signalled yet another 50 point bending.

But, what nobody has so far given us credit for, is it turned out that we had taken far more out of Leigh than they had taken out of us. One by one, their players were starting to run on empty, and suddenly we were on the front foot. It wasn't the plan, of course not, but the reason we scored at will for the last 20 minutes was because Leigh had nothing left, much though they tried, and that can only be because we had beaten them comprehensively in the energy battle.

Nobody can be happy either at getting to 6-32, or in many aspects of the way we played, but we do at least now have a team that is able to live up to our new motto, "we don't quit", and the fact that we were able to and willing to keep on our roll and scrape a draw was, to me at least, a very refreshing change from the catalogue of surrenders once we got a bit behind.

If I didn't know that everyone around me in the stand had been negative and wingeing until 10 mins to go, I'd think you'd been sitting behind us this afternoon!

Our first match against one of the 3 other full time teams.
Their forwards bullied ours for 65 minutes. Patterson at number 6 was an astute selection and Higham is still a class act. Gaskell was quiet for that first 65 precisely because Paterson and others were disciplined in preventing him from cutting loose - and they targeted his position in the defensive line. And Addy was nowhere near as bad as some on here are saying. Clark and Haggerty are good additions.
Leigh tired and after our 3rd try they began to doubt. The Bulls began to believe as they sensed Leigh were becoming fragile. Gaskell was given more room and took advantage. He was also encouraging all the team.
Of course that display was far from perfect but there was plenty of character and collective spirit. You could argue we were fitter- a good sign.

Can't believe I buggered off after an hour having seen enough
