Any news on Sidlow's injury? The comeback is made even more remarkable when you realise that Sidlow was off injured for all of it!

As most have already said, we were anonymous for 3 quarters of that game. Played well for 15 mins against a really good side and managed to salvage some points.

If I didn't know that everyone around me in the stand had been negative and wingeing until 10 mins to go, I'd think you'd been sitting behind us this afternoon!

Our first match against one of the 3 other full time teams.
Their forwards bullied ours for 65 minutes. Patterson at number 6 was an astute selection and Higham is still a class act. Gaskell was quiet for that first 65 precisely because Paterson and others were disciplined in preventing him from cutting loose - and they targeted his position in the defensive line. And Addy was nowhere near as bad as some on here are saying. Clark and Haggerty are good additions.
Leigh tired and after our 3rd try they began to doubt. The Bulls began to believe as they sensed Leigh were becoming fragile. Gaskell was given more room and took advantage. He was also encouraging all the team.
Of course that display was far from perfect but there was plenty of character and collective spirit. You could argue we were fitter- a good sign.

Can't believe I buggered off after an hour having seen enough

Well done on the astonishing comeback, after being pretty well controlled by us for 65 minutes. Still, as they say, it's an 80 minute game, and I'm relieved there weren't another couple of minutes left, after you tied the scores!

As a Leigh fan, I was actually pleased with our performance - well, most of it anyway

. For the past three games we have been largely unconvincing and have never got to grips with a game. Those first 65 minutes were a revelation, after what had gone before. Just like last season, it's all 'ifs and buts' at this stage, but I'd like to think that, once we get some of McNally, Armstrong, Tonga, Kay, Ridyard and Chase back on the pitch, our backs may tighten up in defence, and take advantage of the position our forwards are gaining for them.

Of course, it's doubtful if any of those guys could have improved on those 65 minutes!

One final thought, wasn't it refreshing to see two sides concentrating on the rugby, rather than endure 80 minutes like our first meeting last season?
