Not the result we wanted but I thought the performance was spot on, especially with no halves and only 3 props in the squad. Our defence seems to be improving week on week too.

Robbed. Again. The key difference turned out to be the weight of the needless, lopsided penalties the ref kept finding, and I had loudly predicted an early pen for them at the end, to give them the crucial field position. Never a penalty, and certainly not at that stage. Was Higham onside? Whether or not, failing to get VR to check was plain bent.

We were hardly robbed, especially when Clark's try was a mile off side.

Well the VR got it wrong for your first try. Overall the ref did ok, and it was a decent game. STOP MOANING.

Thought performance was a big improvement given personnel available. Result didn't go our way but think we're definitely improving. Matters put in a surprisingly decent stint and Thomas started to look useful.

Pleased at the efforts, thought we would get smashed today so I'm glad we ran them close.
The gaps in our squad are obvious, so hopefully Rohan and SF can see that and do their best to get some recruits in before the important games.

If Rohan can get the team playing with that level of intensity every week from now on, then we'll be fine. I think it's a big 'if' though, the cynic in me suspects that a few of our guys tried extra hard today to put themselves in the shop window, knowing that the game was televised and the SL scouts were all watching...

The non sin binning after the break was more crucial them down to 12 good attacking position and he wouldn't have been on the pitch to get their first try.
