There was an interview with Roberts when he first took over BPA. He took it over as he wanted to give something back to the community he grew up in. IF he were to take over the Bulls, i'm sure he would use his money to help the fortunes of both clubs. Not to the detriment of the other. As Hamster said, both clubs being successful could and should benefit each other.
IF (and it's still a big IF) he does take over us, i don't believe he will throw a millions upon millions at us, create a super stadium and sign Johnathan Thurston on a marquee signing. But it should stabilse the club and improve the foundations for us to build upon.
I'm awaiting for news that Richard Lamb is the new chairman with Mick Gledhill as the fans representative...
I don't know about, or expect, "£millions" to be spent, just pay the bills [and wages] on time and run a proper club, in a businesslike manner, just as MG promised but sadly didn't quite deliver, and I'll live happily with that. Of course, if there are a few spare £millions lying around in someone's back pocket....

Just having someone with enough money to fund a reasonable cap spend and cover the inevitable cashflow shortfalls, so each one doesnt precipitate a winding up order, would be a major improvement on last few years.

IF this happens to be true and we have this Caisley/Roberts "Dream Team" coming in then I guess that we would have every right to get excited about the prospects TBH.
And a potential groundshare plan with BPA makes the most sense too as, IF is to be at Odsal then it will utilise the stadium far more and help with the upkeep.
However, I still harbour dreams of a shared, custom built stadium, for the clubs to share. However, how big would it have to be?
A stadium like Warrington's would do both clubs fine IMO.
I agree Bullseye. It is just that I am concerned if became a bit of a "soul-less" arena for BPA if their crowds are reasonably small. (I don't know their average gate)
Still, best not speculate, there are a lot of Cowboys in Texas.

I believe their 'crowds' are about 300 currently.
Obviously, if they rose to a higher level e.g Conference, they might be thinking of getting into four figures. But I doubt they'd test the capacity of Odsal anytime soon.
Yep, I'm taking all the gossip with a massive pinch of salt. It brings a brief bit of interest to the day to read it, but we've seen it all before unfortunately. I hope and pray something falls in our favour this time, but I'm still preparing myself to be underwhelmed. Sorry if that seems a little pessimistic.
