I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

Yeah OK we get the point - you all think Pete Hood is a pathological liar

I was only reporting what was said at the time, and I certainly don't recall anybody suggesting at that time that there was any doubt over the comment.

The comment wasn't said at the time. It was said at the forum which came much later in the year.

Moving away from Paul Sykes....

It was reported in the T&A that Peter Hood was going to reply to Chris Caisley's comments today. But there has been nothing said, so far as I can see.....nothing on the Bulls website or T&A site

Another PR mess up by the current board?

I've been thinking the same thing for most of the day.

Wonder what Mr Hood is cooking up in preparation for tomorrow?

When you're a Bradford fan there's always a light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately it's usually an oncoming train

That was why I specifically made no mention of it in anything I have posted hitherto.

But I was aware of it. And would very much have liked to have been able to say it, especially in the context of unexpected additional cash outflows that may or may not have contributed to the current situation.

Well, I dunno how much of it was true, but I was told a story when Caisley stepped down as chairman in 2006 that he knew the Harris thing was going to bite us in the bum and that the club was pretty much heading to where we now find it. So Caisley's big plan was to let the club fall over, have the debts cleared and come riding back in on his white horse and save the day.

However, it would seem that the currently maligned board managed to bail out the titanic with teacups. At least for a few years. It's just an unfortunate turn of events which has lead us to the current sorry state we find the club in.

I think this is quite near to the truth.

I have a suspicion Mr. Hood might work on the basis that saving the club from falling over is more important right now than a public argument with the other fella, given that the latter said nothing whatsoever in his cleverly-worded piece that would resolve the immediate cash requirement?

Or his public image with fans is so badly tarnished now and his stunning ability to shoot himself in the foot in the press he's been advised against replying.

I dont overly trust either but think that Hood is keenest for the club to survive without a need to have his ego massaged. I hope the pledge keeps us afloat and if a change in management is needed it should be sorted then. I have spoken to both and found CC to be the most arrogant bloke I have ever met. I still blame the Harris episode was a major part of our downfall CC was responsible for this.

It looks sometimes like he is desperate for an "I told you so moment". We all need to get behind the pledge and sort problems out after we are sure we have a club to support.
