What a pile of crap. I am well aware of some of the standard of refereeing in the championship having been subjected to it far longer than Bradford Bulls, but the fact remains that the refereeing performance has been the sole focus of many of the fans here and on twitter. Plenty of "I'm not blaming the referee but (insert 20 lines blaming the referee)." It doesn't count. How on earth does us being in super league make us sharper to referees who ply their trade in the championship? We've never had Joe Cobb before!
We played the referee? How? And how is that asinine question proof of anything? No, I would not want any single referee in charge of every one of our games because that wouldn't work well. So?
Two tries you scored. and in one, someone taken off the ball. Clear as day on that video. So come on, we scored numerous tries, not a problem with one of them. It's different in hindsight isn't it? You can't hide behind your dodgy interpretation. Back it up or people owe an apology to the referee.
It's hard enough finding referees without them becoming the focus of ire every single week. It's no wonder we can't, quite frankly.
Not recently, and certainly not during a season where you would be playing four superleague sides at the end with promotion to superleague the prize. Lets see, Widnes got into SL and were then protected because there was no promotion or demotion, and you have the f*****g cheek to lecture us because we actually have to gain promotion.
Can you read? You are doing my trick on another thread of totally misreading content (Luaki for Mulakey or something like that). I said that Widnes, due to 23 games of SL refereeing, knew exactly how far they could push the boundaries with the highest standard of referee. It becomes in built to the players, almost instinctive, to stay the right side. at no point did i say that the Widnes players played the referee. They played the referees interpretation of the rules. This is rugby league not cheating football.
Yes it is difficult finding referees, however if you restructure a competition with playoffs between SL and championship sides, it is incumbent on the RL and SL to do their damndest to ensure that the refereeing is consistent between the two. As others on this forum will confirm, I have said this well before this latest incident, and I have also said that a level playingfield should also mean the same salary cap for the two leagues with the proviso that the RL/SL should vet any championship expenditure proposals. Then if an owner wants to put his money into the club to gain promotion, he can.But that means them doing some work.
So gloves off now. You are as good a forum moderator as Cobb is a referee. Calling totally rational sensible posts quote " a pile of crap" is hardly model moderator behaviour. Its one step away for calling the poster a pile of crap. Its about time that those in power in this forum sorted you out, just as I believe the RL/SL should sort out the Championship refs.
