Would agree there's almost certainly 'no need', but maybe there are rules in place?
My impression all along is that the directors have been consulting, and acting with, the at least implied, support of the RFL so, to be honest, I don't expect any problems. Same applies to any points deduction too.
Of course, it may also be that the RFL now realise that punishing new people for the sins of their predecessors isn't really sensible and the whole unholy mess wouldn't have happened but for losing the Sky money; no need for loans, no need for cash investments, no need for court cases, no need for secondary admins..
