On the playing side this isn't too bad for Bradford. One lesse game on feb (which is the wettest month of the year) is one less game for players to get soft ground related injuries in. It also means that we've more chance of winning this game as Quins will really notice the extra fixture if it's earlier in the season.

RL in London has been given the big push in London for long enough and there is still very little interest in the game. The game v Manly will change nothing at all.

They will not scrap the game, that much is obvious but to even think that it will make any difference to future Quins crowds is utter folly. People (Oz ex-pats) may well come to watch Manly, but that is where there interest will end.

However, as I will say again, if you value a friendly as more important than a league game then I find that puzzling. Admittedly, Quins are never involved in meaningful big games so I guess that they will have to cash in at any chance they get.

I don't see it as a big deal. We all have to be flexible about fixtures these days anyway, especially at this end of the season. Play the friendly, I wouldn't expect anything else at this kind of notice. Pretend it will make a difference to your club's crowds and general standing if you really want to push the boat out, but don't pretend that local advertising endeavours are more relevant than the primary business of the league. That's just silly.

I think you're being unkind. The "nur nur nur my dad's a policeman" school of debate is a dying art. Its nice to see it alive and well and being practiced by a mod.
