Matty Smith is excellent, and despite injury has been good with a poor team. He was outstanding against Wigan, and went through the Bulls defence line the other week, and is very creative.

In Nosey Parkers column that he is expected to join Wakey? Also Stevo hinted that he had heard that he was expected to replace Ryan Atkins at the Wildcats...

Now that would just be flipping typical.. a player who looks to the attributes we need at centre and he joins another SL side! Meanwhile we sign another FB!

Please let this rumour be wrong...

canterbury fans on their forum still think millards coming to us and that player stevos on about is ben barba a young half ( which would fit in with all rumours of brough leaving wakey). If we dont get millard then it frees up a quota spot although I'd prefer millard as he looks like exactly the strike Centre we've been missing.

Well I left my copy of League Express at work but I was pretty sure Stevo made reference to a 25 yr old! So that doesn't quite tally up with your theory.
Of course he may be talking utter rubbish but it would be a pity if he joined Wakey.

I'd want a pretty quality halfback on the final quota spot if we have missed out on Millard. We probably do need a halfback slightly more urgently than a centre, but I think most Bulls fans were hoping we were about to strengthen both of these area's of the squad.

Hmm. Just watched a video of Barba. It gives no indication of his handling or kicking game, but he certainly has some pace. If Wakefield do poach Millard, I wonder if Barba has the other qualities that would make him a Henderson-like success from nowhere!

Maybe the 25 year old is daniel holdsworth? He is a stand off and is no better than Jeffries i my opinion.

Hope Millard is not going to wakey.

I thought Ben Barba was lined up as a wonder kid of the future. I'd be surprised if they let him go

Has fallen out of favour there by the looks of things, mainly due to ben roberts having a great season, Barba has been in the Toyota Cup all year, but still young so could make it yet. Very much doubt we will be signing him.
