Bradford Bulls Statement BRADFORD BULLS can this evening announce that an independent Sporting Sanctions Appeal Panel has upheld the six-point deduction handed down by the Rugby Football League's Board of Directors, as a penalty for entering into administration earlier this year. A spokesperson for Bradford Bulls' Board of Directors said: “We are naturally disappointed with the panel's decision in finding that we did not meet the necessary threshold to allow our appeal to be fully considered. “Prior to the appeal hearing, we had already taken initial legal advice on our options should the appeal fail. We will now pursue those options with a view to making a decision on how to take matters further forward in the belief that the decision made was wrong. “Inevitably, there will be upset amongst our players, supporters and sponsors who have throughout been supportive – both on and off the field. “As a club, we are doing all we can to repay the faith shown by our supporters. Now we're on about taking it further! Just accept the decision we've not a leg to stand on!!! Gonna go into admin again if we keep paying for legal cases!!!

And I don't think they should launch any legal proceedings - just accept the decision and move on.

If the club wanted to appeal, who would they appeal to now? Another independent panel or the RFL?!

The decision is made. Swallow the pill and move forward.

Judging by the reasons given for the delays in it all I would guess that it was viewed that there was still not enough evidence for the decision to be overturned so basically the Bulls appeal couldn't be considered because there wasn't enough for the panel to look at

I said beforehand that we should accept the ruling of the independent panel and assuming everything is above board and we received a fair hearing I stand by that.

We need to start making plans for dropping down a division and building some solid foundations. We need to make sure we're in the strongest possible position when the opportunity for promotion comes about. Whether that be by straight forward promotion or by another club in SL going belly up.

And most importantly the RFL have to lay down some very clear guidelines for the sanctions for heading into admin. We can't have another situation like this one happening again.
