Though turning over rocks might be interesting to geologists just looks like an expensive distraction from the main priority which should be rebuilding the club. So while we see in the news other clubs lining up their squads for 2015 we are lining up some lawyers! Bad move

A few nervous people now who have posted on the "If we avoid relegation I will..." thread I should imagine.

Especially ME, who may have to get his wallet out...

Clearly I'm missing something here.

Say the high court concludes that the RFL are a corrupt bunch of monkeys, and gives us the 6 points back. We'd still be relegated.

Other than in an abstract "for the good of the game" sense, why would I therefore give a damn about the appeal?

Maybe it's not just about the 6 points. Maybe we will argue that the RFL's conduct was such that it caused the collapse of our team and thus our season, and argue that in those circumstances it would be unjust to be relegated. Of course that would almost certainly mean only one team going down as if we won the case, the RFL could hardly pick the next team up. So the case could royally screw the RFL's plans for 2015>

As other clubs in super league and the championship are getting their squads in shape for next season, what on earth can we be doing. How can we attempt to sign any players,do we offer championship or super league contracts

Maybe the strategy is to p**s off all the other league clubs, and the rfl, appoint a RU coach then go over to the "dark side" - the horror!

I don't say this often to opposition fans but I genuinely feel sorry for you lot, though not your appalling management - this latest turn must be agonising.

Must point out that I don't have any insider knowledge but as far as I'm concerned the Bulls management (whichever version) signed up for SL on the understanding that the RFL was the governing body and there final decision was just that. Right or wrong Green should respect that and I don't doubt there may be some wrong in it. I can also understand why some Bulls fans will applaud this appeal should it ever happen, I'd probably feel the same if I were a Bulls fan.

However it will cost a fortune, would not be settled any time soon and should it be successful would then be met with a counter claim from any other team it affected. Hence a stalemate and any good will the Bulls may still have lost forever.

Cas went down twice and took it on the chin, one time very unfairly and look at them now. I don't think you would stay in Div 1 for more than a season tbh so why this end of the world mentality from Green I'm not sure.

It's easy for me to say and obviously suits my club so I'm sure I sound patronising but perhaps it's now time to regroup and rebuild and perhaps look for support from fellow clubs before the club (not you lot) alienate yourselves. I hope you're put out of your misery sooner rather than later. At least if your relegated you know were you stand and can start to move forward again at last.

Here's a quick shot I took of the road between Odsal and Red Hall this morning

Image

Vastman and others - write to Mr. Green at Odsal. We're just bystanders in all this. Urging us to do this, or not do that, is a waste of your time.

I think we're missing something by obsessing with the points, to be honest. It's clearly more than the six points and I'd guess they club feel they have, maybe, been financially disadvantaged by all this. It's hard to think that they haven't been, when you think it through.

At the end of the day it's not just the Bulls, I'm sure Mr Carter at Wakefield was quite caustic in his opinion of the 'help' his club received at the hands of the RFL, mentioning "threats" IIRC. Let's hope Ryan Whitcut's observations on how the ruling body conducted itself are put to the test in a court of law.

So what your saying if the bulls win the appeal then, you feel they should not be send to the championship and remain in superleague no matter how many points behind they are?

Re: Marc Green statement / Appeal : Thu Jun 26, 2014 12:28 pm
There's only 3 groups of people that can have influence over the future of Bradford Bulls.

1 - the RFL. And they're not going to look favourably on this development.
2 - the fans. We just need to maintain support.
3 - the other 13 SL club chairmen. Are we a "stalking horse" on their behalf?
