If I'm honest I really think Potter will resign at the end of this season.

Can't see it. If potter resigned after one yr without us showing any improvement then he would have no chance of a coaching job downunder.

Quite. I think he has to at least get us back into the 8 to show he's achieved something.

I think we've been short of cover in the halves for the last season and a half, so far from being 'short term', Jeffries signing fixes a fairly long standing problem imo.

To be fair to Mick Potter I guess it would have been fixed pre-season but for the Orford farrago, with his presence on our register causing no end of recruitment difficulties; who knows what our half back pairing would have been if only Orford had been honest and said he wanted away in the middle of last season?

He isn't going to resign unless he has another job lined up

And why would he? He can simply see out the remaining year of his contract, most likely we will be better next year than this - we could hardly be worse - then see what job offers come along.

Potter would be down under now if he could have got a head coach job in the NRL. His stock will have deteriorated since his time at Saints so there is no chance of him going unless you were to somehow win the GF.
