Its like offering a 100m winning lottery ticket to someone but telling them they will never be able to claim the winnings.

How the hell did Halifax finish mid table if some of their players are on £100m?
A less facetious example would be like saying “ we’ll be approved and out of SM beginning of next week, we’re offering £6k + win bonus part time terms. We’ll hope you’ll sign on Tuesday- think about it.

I think I'm right in saying that all contracts go from November 1st to October 31st.

If so, then nobody is out of pocket (yet?). Ross Peltier will get paid by the Bulls on October 31st (I hope) and is then - and only then - a free agent. His next payday, if he were still to be contracted would be November 30th.

The fact that he's already agreed to take up and alternative offer can only mean one of three things

1. He was made a provisional offer by the Bulls, but Doncaster offered a better deal

2. He wasn't offered anything yet by the Bulls, so because of the uncertainty decided to take what was on offer

3. He was told that he wasn't going to get offered anything by the Bulls whatever happens

Actually there are considerably more possibilities than those 3. Even if offered the same or better by BB he may have decided to sign for Donny to get certainty. AC has been saying for quite a while that the SMs would be sorted soon, but as yet........

Paul, contracts are from December 1st to November 30th. Not that that changes a great deal

Re: So who is leaving : Sat Oct 19, 2019 2:56 pm
It seems to me that CB (or someone since he isn’t officially in charge) is working on clearing the decks to start again.

We shouldn’t be too surprised by this because IIRC wakey did this when both wakey and the bulls were in financial problems the first time whilst still in SL and under licensing. Rather foolishly the bulls tried to stick with pretty much no changes to the squad and push for higher money rewards whilst wakey shed a lot of players knowing licensing kept them in the league regardless. The rest is history...

I can’t recall whether CB was involved back them with wakey but it’s very similar to me. I’m sure they are looking to sort of the back of house and cobble together a part time team with dual reg partner to limp us through the season. The only problem being if we leave it too late we might not have anything to put out and asking the fans to back that is a tough sell.

Sure is Bulls4.

To clarify re CB he became a Director of Wakey at same time as Carter in August 2013, but we don't know when the Trinity clear out you refer to above occurred.

Moreover, we understand that CB was in the background at Wakey for 1-2 years prior to his formal appointment.

CB is a decent number cruncher and a reasonably good bloke - why he apparently fell out with Carter, so he can't be half bad lol

Anyhow what is the real shame in our humble opinion is that Chris might end up proving to be the right man for the wrong job,.We say this not because we want to be malicious, but because a) there are more shocks and problems to follow/emerge, and b) we are confident that some folk, or one particular person, is/are pulling his strings, and in a manner which is not 'Bulls' fans centric'.

I'm sure if you forewarned CB and his consortium of any impending shocks you feel are going to come out in the very near future then they would be really greatful.

You could do so specifically, but anonymously I'm sure.

I can't really see why it can't be done non-anonymously
