He did not have to resign- he chose to.
It's clear from the reports on the NRL inquiry and judgement that he had no knowledge or involvement in the scandal.

Apologies, he chose to resign due to the drug scandal that he knew nothing about while he ran the club

How much did Ken Davy sell your club's stadium shares to himself in secret for?

Well Green say bugger all in League Express.

Not strictly true. He repeatedly mentions that club struggled financially due to falling gates and falling season ticket sales (amongst a couple of other things like poor performances).

In other words, he's blaming the fans. Again.

The bloke needs to just f u c k off now.

(The other things he blames, apart from the fans obviously, are poor performances on the pitch and relying on people who knew the game better than him which then made them make incorrect decisions. So Lowes & Ferres then)

So it's the fans, Lowes & Ferres' fault. Not Marc Green's one bit.

When all along the writing was on the wall.

A clear out top to toe with a new board etc is the only way to try win back a bit of support and confidence in the club.

Including Duffy..

As a point of information, Stuart Duffy, for almost all the Marc Green era, was not part of the management team but worked part time in the football department. When everyone else had either resigned or disappeared he was asked if he would take the role of General Manager, which he has done throughout administration when he has been very much of a go between. As a further point of information he has not been media manager for a number of years.

More interesting in the paper are Martyn Sadler's comments. He mentions how League Publications are a major creditor of the Bulls (them being the company that produced the matchday newspaper). Says he's less than pleased about being left in the dark by the administrator in relation to the bids, says the creditors received no information at all about them and that the administrator seemed to spend an awful long time on holiday during the administration period.

Coupled with Green's comments about not being involved at all in any of the bids, or indeed with the club since the administrator was appointed, it does suggest that the creditors were not involved at all in rejecting any bids for the club. That was all down to the administrator, who didn't consult the creditors in the slightest.

The comment about Duffy claiming we would be the richest club in rugby league has had me thinking. I wonder if it's anything to do with the guy who has left Sheffield in the complete poop. Didn't their chief exec throw an offer at Greg ingots saying they could match any wages in the country? Just food for thought

The comment in question was in relation to Danny Sawrig who,had he become club owner would have been the richest owner in the league. But he withdrew his offer.

It's simple, everyone needs to go, clear out all the deadwood. Especially Duffy after his threatening letters after I posted the truth about the meeting and what was said.

No one sent you a threatening letter.
How could they? You retain anonymity.
