Wakey didn't have to give a fee for Scruton. They could have waited until we were taken over again, Scruton could have refused to be TUPE'd and Wakey could have got him for free.

Wakey have acted professionally from an outside looking in. Think one or two need to get rid of the chip on their shoulder.

No worry, when Wakey get relegated we can just have them back for free plus more players when the relegation clause in their contract kicks in.

I know Wakey have the full sky money but even if the fee was nominal these two signings must put a bit on their wage bill. Wonder if our points deduction has made them decide to risk all to stay up?

Michael Carter has confirmed on the wakey boards that Jarrod Sammut is actually cheaper to employ than Lee Smith was.
So getting rid of Lee and taking on Jarrod has actually saved them money in the long run.

He wasn't replacing anyone, the club were using the £300k windfall they got from the RFL as a result of the new sky deal.
