Very sad news about Nathan leaving permanently, he's not been given a chance this season.

I think it's quite poor, he's been there since he was 15 and now he should be getting plenty of game time

Shame Conroy has gone. Really hope Adam Brook isn't the next to go as he could be our future long term HB.

This is the problem with having no reserve grade. Once players hit 20, if they're not ready for getting picked for the first team then they're not playing that week. It's another great idea from the RFL on how to improve young players. Have them go from a full time environment to a part time one.

shame to see a homegrown product leave without really getting a chance in first team. Halafihi seems to be preferred backup option to O'brien. With Lowes and Diskin on coaching staff think they'll have fair idea as to what their looking for in a 9.

Disappointed with Campbell signing to be honest.

He's been decent for Batley from what I've seen however he also appears to be a complete plonker. As well as the previously mentioned assault, didn't he also miss a years rugby for betting on one of his own games?

Doesn't scream ambition for me - we have plenty to cover wing/fullback anyway. Shaw, Mendeika, Williams, Caro & Clare.

That's assuming Ulugia and Uaisele go aswell.

I agree, decent form from a part-time player at a part-time club who've only won about 50% of their matches is not the signing of a club with SL ambitions. I'm hoping that this rumour doesn't have legs and that people have him confused with someone else.

mentioned in t&a article re conroy leaving that campbell deal is pretty much certain. What it also says though is that it is for next year, Not immediately as everyone thought.

Sounds to me like Clare is going to be a loan signing until the end of the season.

I can't see Campbell being a 1st choice winger with the other players we have, so could be a decent squad player. If he does end up with a starting spot then I'd hope that it's because he's performing better than the others. If that's the case then there's no complaints.

Campbell looked decent enough but I don't think he's any better than the options we already have at full back or on the wing. If Caro carries on scoring tries then I expect him to be offered a new deal and Williams is a solid enough winger with plenty of SL appearances. At full back we have Mullaney, Mendeika and Shaw, and I wouldn't rate Campbell higher than any of them.

As for Conroy, it's a shame to see young players leave, but he wasn't in the same class as O'Brien. It looks like Halafihi will be the number 2 next season.
