Well according to the Wakey board stewards will be on hand to direct us all to the western terrace. Reckon they will be at least 3k Bulls supporters so I hope they have plenty of stewards and it is well organised.

I don't have a problem with seperating the fans after last time, plus it will be a highly charged atmosphere.
just hope it's well organised.

I read the same thing but took it as they would advise but it wouldn't be forced.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

They can't force us into western terrace because the tickets we have purchased in good faith don't state this stipulation on them. The Leeds standing tickets tell you where you will be stood and is doubly stated that unless it is a south stand ticket you have no admittance in there.

Memory isn't what it used to be but didn't membership of the SL imply some basic standard for the clubs ground? And how have Wakey been getting round it?

Looks like a strong case for automatic promotion for the Bulls:)

Re: Million Pound Game - Wakefield vs Bradford : Mon Sep 28, 2015 11:14 pm
I bought tickets for the recent game with Wakefield online on their web-site. As suggested by the club for away fans I entered the ground through the western terrace turnstiles, and there was no problem with this at all despite having a "Wakefield" ticket.

There is no segregation as such between the west and north terraces (unless they recruit a load of extra stewards for this weekend), but the Fax fans did congregate on the west and left the north to Wakefield. In the cup game, we were on the north terrace (but I think the west terrace was closed?) - no problems that I saw, just plenty of good-natured banter - more at stake with this game though!

3000+ fans on the west terrace? No cover (except at the southern end) and it'll be a bit of a tight squeeze in a place with a pretty rubbish view of the game. I suspect a significant proportion may drift towards the north stand which is marginally better in terms of actually seeing the game.

East stand is seating, with a rubbish view on a small terrace in front. South "stand" is those horrible looking boxes that probably have a really good view of the game.

The tannoy is very clear and annoyingly very (very, very) loud.

Put aside what's gone before, and do the Championship proud!!! Hard as it is for me as a Fax fan, I'll be behind you all the way on Saturday.

The only downside if you win will be a trip to Belle Vue next season.....

The irony being that if franchising was still here, you (or more likely Leigh) would have our place already sewn up.
Let's see what happens when the only criteria is on the field!

I hope to God we do a job on Wakey Saturday...

But something in the back of my mind says we are going away disappointed!

I've never considered this competition to be like P&R. Winning 'on the field' is very unlikely in any normal sense as the SL club, with more money invested in the team and playing all season at a higher level, has a clear advantage. We were fortunate last season, in as much as with there being no promoted club to pillage all our players, we managed to hold onto a number of SL experienced players, some of them young and with their best years still to come, so I accept we maybe have a slightly better chance than might be available to a future club coming into this situation. There are also many, not necessarily in Bradford who, perhaps unkindly, also say Wakey are there for the taking.

Personally, I'm under no illusions about the game on Saturday. After a year of playing championship football, with referees who insist on playing to the speed of the slowest team, there is no doubt who the favourites are for this competition - and it ain't the Bulls! It is though, a 'one-off' game and anything can happen, so let's hope for a good game and all of us leaving as friends!

Wakefield have to start this game as big favourite's. Every SL team, baring Salford has done a job on us in these Qualifiers including Wakefield and theyre at home. I haven't seen anything from Bradford to suggest that we will come away with a win.

Having said that, if the Bulls turn up and play as well as we know they can then they most definitely can win. We've only seen them play like that 3 or 4 times this season. It all depends how they react to the one game that the whole season has been building towards. Will they freeze or will they rise to the challenge like we know they can. I have no bloody idea...

I don't think you can enforce segregation in a stadium that hasn't been designed to be segregated and when you don't know how many away fans have bought tickets. Particularly when that stadium has one big standing area and two smaller terraces.

It has to be "voluntary segregation" with the North Stand acting partly as an overflow stand.
