TBH, I think all this talk about "ass kissing" is just a little bit OTT. Fair enough, the last two results have been good but I think we should maybe wait a wee while before such statements are being made.
Still, I have to laugh at the double standards of some. It appears that sacking a manager after three seasons is considered by some people to be "knee jerk" yet two wins is all that is required in order to prove the doubters wrong?
Seems odd that.
You're still sooo desperate to be recognized as the man who "called it" that McNamara was "no good" and should be sacked, that you can't see how pathetic these style whingeing posts of yours now look.
I think that with what has gone on, and especially due to the fans forums and the information people now have, more and more are accepting first that we really are rebuilding and second that this is a process that is not measured in weeks or months but years. Added to a better understanding of the problems the new regime inherited (and still struggle with) most now seem to be more interested in seeing the process progress. Of course some good wins as we go along won't hurt.
As for results, I do not minimize their importance, but I am confident that when we have most of our key players fit then given a fair shot we will trouble every team we play from now to the play-offs.
"Doubting" or not doubting the coach is so yesterday. His position seems secure as anybody's for the rest of the season and probably beyond if the reports from the forum have caught the Odsal mood, so I reckon we can give that sterile argument a rest and concentrate on the games.
