The rules only allow 1 friendly to count, so 4 of Whiteheads were competitive games.

Dunno what the fuss is about. Westwood will end up serving 1 game so he can't play against Italy, and be fit and raring to have a crack against the Aussies.

Anyway, his story is that he doesn't even remember punching anybody, so 50/50 he'll get off. I mean, Graham didn't remember biting anybody, and he got off.
Well, maybe not exactly "off".

Problem with that was it meant he missed entire pre-season so effectively ban was extended to include friendlies he missed that didn't count towards ban. IMO if a friendly doesn't count towards ban then player should be allowed to play in it.

There's nothing wrong with amateur teams being rubbish, in fact everybody should play for a rubbish team at some point in their life - it's actually very character building and teaches humility..
