I wonder what peoples thoughts are on the following...

The club could leave the number 18 shirt free when doing the squad listings. This shirt could be solely for the purpose of recognising the fans... 18th man et al.

We could sponsor the No.18 shirt in the programme for what ever amount we raise by the usual means. This would then free up an established squad member to be sponsored by a corporate type.

More potential money for club in sponsorship, fans recognised and we are still helping the club.

Nice idea if the club agree, acknowledge the fans and open up an extra line of sponsorship - just as long as if there is an injury crisis during the season you don't expect one of the sponsors to put the shirt on
