But we going into crucial opening games against relegation rivals with some players one playing one pre-season game

I'll be more bothered if we play like this in a few weeks so I'm not too concerned. Just hope those left out were precautionary. ]

I think Cas will go better under Powell than they did under Millward even without Chase.

Sidlow was playing in 16 shirt.

As others have said not a full strength team and suspect in 2nd Half we took our foot off gas to avoid injuries rather than chase the game. Certainly not preferable but maybe understandable given small squad.

He did a cracking chase back and tackle on the Cas winger. He is quick for a prop.

am sure they will play alot better once the season starts. its been seen a few times teams have bad friendlies but then do really well in season

We weren't at full strength but we only had Carvell, Kearney and Sammut out who in my mind are guaranteed starters. I wouldn't count such as Blyth, George and Gaskell as guaranteed. Put Kearney and Sammut in and that could be our first choice backs. Add Carvell and we would have had our 4 props and back rowers out there today.
