I thought Bradford might of taken a punt on him. If your chairman is going to rely on a wafer legal battle to get your points back the basic foundation must be to finish within 6 points of 12 surely? Has your chairman actually increased you wage bill upto anyway it's pre administration level?

Thought you might have told us that bit of info Dee, after all, you seem to be someone in the know....y'know, loans "almost all paid back", loans that "any club could get", and whether legal positions, which incidentally don't seem to have been put into the public domain, are "wafer thin" or not. 8)

Re: Sammut : Mon Jun 23, 2014 3:15 pm
It would be tempting to say lets get him back for next year. When I think about it though I would say that going down does actually give us a time out of the spotlight to build again. To me, that means finding the next young Deakin, Peacock, Langers, Fielding etc. Do we really want players who bounce along the bottom of SL?
We need to make the best of building again and that means new, young talent who are wanting to play in the big league. I would put every spare pound into building up our academy and bring in some skilled coaches to inspire them.
I saw Henry Paul and Derrik fox at Odsal on TV at the weekend. Wouldn't it be lovely to have those two plus Fielden coaching our youngsters up at Tong and letting every school in the area know we will give youngsters a chance if they sign for us. Not long ago Terry O'Connor said on TV we had the best youth development in SL behind Wigan and Leeds. We need to start rebuilding from there even if it takes 3-4 years before we see the fruits of our work.

We see the fruits of our work every week, trouble is they mostly play somewhere else.

To be fair Fev are a class outfit.. And would probably be better than the Bulls when they take the drop. He hasn't really dropped lower than he was before the start if the season.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.

Re: Sammut : Mon Jun 23, 2014 4:04 pm
Sammut had some issues at the beginning of last season I think. Then he was injured for the middle of last season. But he finished the season strongly I seem to remember.

I preferred to have him in the side than not, last year.

At SL2 level he should be a class above. We're going to need halfbacks next year, I think Sammut would work well.

Oh no, debaser was the winner of the RAB 2013 Turing test competition. (I was the runner-up). It promised to be a close run thing but then Noble & Honest had a major short circuit in the logic board, and, well, you'll have no doubt seen the tragic results.

It must make a change for him to leave a club not in administration
