I think people are getting carried away with Siejka. Whenever he hot the ball today people got on his back. He was pretty average but so were many others and they don't get slagged off as much.

Played poorly again but got the win.

Credit to Dewsbury - they never gave in.

Walshaw, Pitts and Clough were decent and Henry has improved recently.

Siejka did a little better but still not enough for me.

I feel we will be a better side with Mullaney at 7 when he's fit.

Agree Henry played much better today, but then he needed too. Sieijka still seems to be a bit of a liability re punch-ups.

Once again that felt like hard work. Too much dropped ball and trying to score on every set of six. I thought Halafihi was a positive, Walshaw and Addy were excellent and Adam Henry had one of his best games for us. We could do with Mullaney back, preferably at SH. Siejka showed a couple of glimpses but it was mainly ship the ball to a wider player, usually Gaskell.

I really think that someone needs to sit the team down and explain that the rest of the league aren't intimidated by Bradford.
Had we come in week one and thumped teams 40-0 every week, then we might be a scarier task, but we haven't. In fact, Batley and Fax threw everything at us and nearly scored an upset and today Dewsbury were pushing us for a long time this afternoon and really all it's done is paint a massive bullseye on us as there are going to be teams out there now who think they've a chance of taking the biggest scalp in the league and if the Bulls don't sort themselves out they're going to be right.

There seems to be a lack of concentration with everyone at the moment, i don't know if its the "we can easily beat this team" or not. There have also been a number of times this season that we have thrown poor passes and dropped the ball and the opposition have immediately scored we saw it again today. I can see us getting beat very soon if the mental fitness does not start to improve.

But at the end of the day a win is a win

I'd much rather see a competitive match and I didn't expect Dewsbury to lie down and let us walk over them. I'm happy to see Jimmy ring the changes. It probably wouldn't be a disaster if we lost the occasional game. We certainly took stock of things after the Leigh debacle. I still wouldn't consign anyone to the scrapheap......and we have several rather good players that didn't play today. It's all about timing things to arrive at the right place after 23 rounds. Dewsbury showed up well. I suspect more tough derbies lie in wait and the intensity of them could be very useful preparation for the real thing.

We said exactly the same today. A rubbish 20 mins, followed by a brilliant 10 mins; then the pattern repeated. Then a really good last 15 mins.

Re: Dewsbury Away : Mon Apr 06, 2015 5:55 pm
I think dewsbury & batley have learned from what happened to Fev & taken steps to make sure we don't get time & space like that again.
Lots of unforced errors though. Again.
I thought siejka was a bit better again, for the 2nd week in a row. Fleming had a better game. So the squad is being used.
I think the Dewsbury Physio covered more ground than Karl Pryce, who doesn't seem to be designed for a part time training regime. There were more tries to be scored there, but ultimately errors & Dewsbury intensity restricted those chances.
