If you don't want the side ads then you can use http://i.rlfans.com/forums/ or http://m.rlfans.com/forums/ and if you are on a mobile the site will remove the bigger ads to ensure better compatibility.

The version I got had virtually everything removed - and this was without me changing any preferences, it just did it on its own!

I wondered if they'd made changes and it maybe just wasn't working on Firefox [this has happened before..] but no, it wouldn't work on IE either. It was only when trolling through the main site and looking at my preferences [which I'd left on default] that I realised that someone [?] had changed mine to a phone version. The mind boggles - why would anyone do that?
