Waiting until player sponsorship sorted? They seem to like to have a sponsor included in the announcement. Also possible that the player still has a game to play this weekend before being released I suppose.

think most likely one if we're going with Melbourne storm, Centre and queensland could be dane Nielsen. Sacked by st George for disciplinary reasons in may so is a free agent and at 30 could be looking at coming over here for a last payday.

guessing five day wait could be to give him time to get over here so they can present him at a press conference and also coincides with fixtures being released.
