I still can't decide if I wanted him to stay or not. He's had a good season to be fair and has a great try scoring record, lots of SL experience.. I can't understand the people saying 'God no', if you come up you'll be a lower half side which Welham has proved he is capable of, if you lose on Saturday Welham would be a very good championship centre. His defensive reads are his biggest flaw, flying out of the line when it's not needed. Not always clinical putting his winger away and has lost some pace, but this year he has been good for us. He is apparently on a lot of dough because we offered him a lot when his stock was high and bigger clubs were sniffing around. Now we don't want to pay him that much any more as his stock has fallen and we want better value I assume, it's a shame but can't blame him for looking elsewhere. He's a good bloke, no on or off field discipline issues and I think he'd be a good signing for
you.
