You really need to stop being protective of everything. We discussed on numerous occasions just what is buried underneath the banking surrounding the pitch and land leading down towards the M62.

The presence of the gas is one of the major drawbacks for any development south of the Coral Stand.

Ha ha! You're good, I'll give you that!! In truth there isn't very much at either side of the stadium apart from various clay and coal deposits and no records of exactly what is under the tip at the Low Moor end. When the stadium opened in 1934 the level at the Low Moor end was around about the road level at the back of the corporate stand. The present directors' car park was constructed at just about the 'mustard gas' level. Hope you didn't ingest any . I won't be commenting any more. It would be pointless. I rest my case.

I've emailed Mr Green this morning to urge him to be more open and transparent about the current situation at Odsal.

Yes, we are a championship club and have to cut our cloth accordingly, but many supporters are hanging back on purchasing season tickets whilst the financially tight situation remains.

The latest statement from Steve Ferres about the sustainability of the club is interesting. He openly admits that the club need 5000 membership holders, yet last season gone only eight games saw crowds of over 5000 at Odsal.

I've suggested to Green that he consider the option to host a supporters forum open to everyone.

If nothing is done then I fear for a prolonged period in the Championship with ever decreasing commercial and corporate income, thus leading to the forced option to move to part time.

One final point is that Green isn't going to invest then maybe it's time to get on the phone to Richard Lamb or Mrs Koukash.

Other than Wigan & Leeds all clubs are based on the boom or bust business model.
