What exactly is this "progress" that you speak of? If Kermit the Frog was coaching the England side they would still be in the top three in the world! There are only three teams that have any chance in international RL.

They are currently ranked 3rd in the world. When McNamara took over, the worst they would have been was 3rd in the world. So either their ranking dropped under him, or, at best, stayed the same.

Is this "calling it wrong?" Explain the progress therefore?

Not at all. I leave that anti-English xenophobia for my friends in the SNP.

The appointment of Bennett is an excellent appointment and I am sure he will do well. In RL, I always want England to win, as I do in cricket. It is their football and RU teams that I love to see getting a pasting.....

Plus, I guess I may have been born further south in England than most on here.

Just joshin' Eddie...anyway I've got my 50% Scottish wife to keep in me check - though she was born in England. Must admit, I hope Scots teams win [except when playing an English side.. unless it's L**ds] and definitely don't shed any tears over the England RU team getting beaten, though I guess that's my RL chippiness showing through, haha...
