I don't get that, I (partly) pay the wages to the team I support, and since time immemorial, I have felt entitled to a bulletin such as, "he's done a cruciate ligament, will have an op and be out for 6 months", or "he's sprained a shoulder, should be fit in a week". Of the hundreds of thousands, or maybe millions, of such bulletins issued over the decades, by sports clubs of all kinds worldwide, daily, I'd say it's fair enough, and why on earth would a player object? If I were a player, I'd positively want my fans to know the basic facts. Many players openly state stuff on social media. If any given player did object, then the club could say we can't disclose any details for reasons of confidentiality but that would happen one in a thousand or less.
I want to be updated not least because sometimes the injury sounds absolutely bonkers. Who else can remember Withers having a "Misaligned pelvis". What the hell is that?
I agree with you there. There's nothing wrong with our back up strength, but we appear totally disjointed with so many changes - especially with the likes of Smith & Whiting having to settle straight into the team. Both excellent players, but they haven't even had time to learn the language yet - never mind the plays!
I don't believe we got much sympathy from your good selves after losing the 1st game of last season to you with practically a brand new team. I'm sure all those new additions to your side will manage ok.

Errm, yes, I know. I wasn't being totally serious, btw, though I would have thought you[with daytime job hat on] would have seen the lane I was meandering down.
Back on topic and it appears that Richard Silverwood is to ref the game. Glory be, maybe there is a god after all! Presumably Joe Cobb is unavailable...

Confirmed on RFL Website. RFL finally learning from last year and appointing a strong referee.
Every week NFL teams have to list on players who are injured. They then break that down in to different categories Good to go, Probably, Doubtful, Questionable, Defiantly missing.

Thank goodness George Stokes is at Halifax this week!

Probaly not! However, most of us realised that the opening game didn't prove much in the overall scheme of things, and we were proved right there!
As for our new additions - we are looking forward to actually getting some of them on the pitch!
