Mind, although the rules were otherwise pretty similar, don't forget Vainikolo and McGuire had to avoid the corner post, not allowed to trample all over it!

If Solomona achieves the record he has done it with a middling team not a stand out team Like Leeds and The Bulls were at the time.

That 84/85 side that Hanley was in wasn't as good as the 2 championship winning teams IMO.

That year we were 8th out of 16, so just scraped into the top half of the table and were, by definition, extremely average, I guess...though mid table certainly precludes the team from being, "crap", as said earlier.

Wherever the club was, Ellery was the best player I've ever seen live, the stuff he could do with a rugby ball was just amazing.
