Well it explains some of the deadline delay if Kear threw his hat in the ring last minute and also needs to negotiate a release from Wakey. Also those applicants that "mysteriously" withdrew probably were told they weren't in the running and given the option to withdraw gracefully!
If this comes to fruition along with new shirts on sale it will be an impressive bit of plate spinning considering the plates are wobbling badly!

If it is Kear I'll be very happy with that but I'm not celebrating till I hear it officially - we've been let down by rumours too many times.
If he is still under contract with Wakey - does that have any implications - i.e. can he just tear that up and walk away - or is this yet another Iestyn Harris saga in the making?

one thing that struck me as odd is announcig captain today. Surely an icoming coach would want to meet players and have a few training sesions before deciding on a captain.?. I noticed though that they used therm CLUB captain so maybe we're going back to having a figurehead type captain then a different on field one.

Bit ageist here. He has as much passion for the sport as anyone else I see/hear on TV - if not more.

Duffy is 74, unprofessional, gives away tickets and undermines those who have to pay, had to delete his twitter account after a drunken swipe at the fans.

So if any position at that club needs a "young, hungry and longer term successor" its that one.
