Does anyone know what allegations were made that resulted in the need for this statement? Thought I'd read all comments on official club pages and don't recall anything other than Nige being a bit rubbish as chairman, Seems a bit much just for that.

Something along the lines of pay me what I ask and I’ll sell the club.

Also some claiming he ran away from fans trying to ask him questions (this one is unlikely for obvious reasons) .

The allegations obviously touched a nerve. Can't help but think that if he was a better communicator then rumours like the one referred to would never start in the first place.

The issue of the lack of honest and open communication really isn't anything new. Why don't people who find themselves in a position of responsibility realise that effective communication doesn't cost anything; doesn't have to give away "trade secrets"; is good for the sole, and - in our case - might just result in keeping old and gaining new supporters.
Too many times the same problems keep cropping up, and the fans forums really don't get to the heart of the issues.

Come on though try and walk a mile in Nigel's boots. He takes a shoeing off the fans - most of the stuff on the internet is cobblers but this accusation that he was on his toes at Newcastle is obviously his achilles heel.

I I think he sees that statement as a way of starting off the week on the right foot but I thinks it's had the opposite effect. Sorry just trying to shoehorn in some puns but put my foot in it.

Joking aside did anyone else notice the other person with a link to the club that was mentioned in the original social media post doing the rounds? If I were him I wouldn't be too pleased at being dragged into it.

Wonder if any player is going to front up at the forum. Nigels taking the brunt of the stick, but quite frankly the players need to accept a large responsibility. Yes we're looking at becoming a very average championship team under Nigel, but that team of players should not be losing to a 12 man Fax team or being pumped by 50 against Newcastle.

I hope somebody asks about the condition that the players are in. Completely and utterly unacceptable.

So somebody should ask Nigel of all people why so many of his playing staff are lardy gutted, is that right?

Monkey see, monkey do!

As for the official club statement, did no one with any nous proof read it before it was issued?

Re: Newcastle (A) : Tue Jul 12, 2022 11:05 am
Just watched the game via FreeSports on Sky TV, and as previous people have said, the start was soft, abject and lethargic, but after getting in to the game, we let them back in for two soft tries. Newcastle even went to 12 men and we didn't capitalise.

We are painfully slow all over the paddock, the forwards are big but flabby and unfit. Crossley Flanagan Kibula, Walker etc.
Its difficult for Patten/Lilley to perform behind no go forward.

But what alarmed me most was the lack of input from Dunning, everytime the camera went to him he wasn't speaking, communicating with the bench etc Denis Betts spent the whole game by his dug out, directing, coaching, advising etc.

Its a worrying appointment is Dunning, a new coach with a fresh pair of eyes, perks everybody in the squad up.
Picking Dunning has given the Bulls no 'bounce' at all.

Its now Tuesday evening and thus far no highlights package of FRIDAYS game have been circulated by the club across social media and no post match interviews either.

F*****g community clubs have better social media profiles than we do. Its absutely pathetic. On the field / off the field its an absolute s**t show at the minute.
