Do you want to employ someone to sort the mess out at the Bulls or someone who just talks well
He can't do either!!!
A great player he was... a great Coach??? Not a chance!!!
He was kept on the coaching team to assess if he was worth keeping, and left when it was obvious he wasn't. Warrington needed someone to sort the club out and even with the endless resources of Simon Moran, he still failed to address the drinking/party culture that was so damaging to them at the time.
If he was so good at Leeds, why was he shipped out to pasture at Carnegie? Perhaps he wasn't the coach they thought he was.
We don't need someone who is liked, part of the boys... we need a manager and leader, something that FC hadn't mastered yet.
My choice would be Glenn Morrison as Head Coach with Nobby as Director of Rugby (acting as mentor to Morrison and assisting with the recruitment).
Duffy needs to step away from the playing side too. He's a media man, not a football expert. Why he was given that particular job I'll never know.
Top down, club would look healthier as follows...
Marc Green - Owner
Steve Ferres - Managing Director
Robbie Hunter-Paul - CEO
Danny Potticary - Commercial Director
Brian Noble - Director of Rugby
Glenn Morrison - Head Coach
Damian Gibson - Assistant Coach
Richard Tunningley - Head of Youth Development
Get rid of Stuart Duffy and Tom Clough. Both offer nothing to the club in their current roles.
