If its Adam Henry....big if on this thread.. :wink: I found this forum thread from when he signed for the Roosters;

http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/showthread.php?s=c705a42627201c915b059e846fc32db5&t=391982

"Good speed, safe under the high ball, strong, good footwork and great balance. Good signing for the chooks wish both parties all the best"

Showed promise according the guys who saw him at the time, granted that was end of 2011, but if his development has halted at the Roosters due to not getting game time he could be exactly that sort of "project" that Cummins was on about, if he has the core skills. The Sydney fans not rating him now (and from what I read most are unsure as opposed to negative) are comparing a whole different benchmark of player to what we'd be looking at.

Could be an interesting signing....IF it is him, but we'll see.

The thread I saw was from March this year and was pretty much 100% negative stuff. Did not make good reading at all.
Still, I'm not one to judge a player before he's even pulled on the shirt. If he ends up being a Bulls player in 2014 then I'll judge on his performances from that point onwards.

Fair enough, like you say, it only really matters what they do in a Bulls shirt. But I'll probably be a different name tomorrow anyway!

cannot find any rooster comments but plenty of NZ Warriors, the most interesting being about his determination to improve, wing centre no 6 back row but probably best at centre. fits FCs utility and project criteria. Sounds as if he has the basic skills and a desire to play. I would be happy if this is the signing.

I think this is the one I found without too much trouble.

thanks

all very early season posts, and looking through the jets match reports he was scoring roughly a try a game towards the end of the season, tho not mentioned in any of the coaches reports as outstanding. Seems to have played slightly more centre than wing, and the occasional 6. so what you would call a utility squad player, if it is him lets see what FC does with him.

Apologies for not trawling through the whole thread, but are you linked with Kafusi from the Broncos?

We were rumoured to be in for him, then it all went quiet (no doubt because of the uncertainties over London's future, as he is still a contracted player I think). Then there was a rumour he was going to the Bulls and then silence again!

We are desperate to bring in an experienced prop and I thought we might have had a chance of Carvell, until it was announced he was going to you, so I was just wondering if you have snapped Kafusi up as well? Having said that if they hadn't of relaxed the non fed trained numbers we wouldn't have had room for him, now I think we do!

Kaufusi is technically still contracted at London afaik. His name was mentioned on this thread a few times, but apparently we were only looking at him when we thought Heath L'Estrange would be leaving. Heath is staying now so I'm not sure we can fit him in under the o/seas quota.
Some Huddersfield fans seem to think they are in for Kaufusi now.

Re: 2014 Squad : Sun Sep 29, 2013 6:07 pm
Until the squad is finalised this seems like a bit of a guessing game, so forgetting specific names which positions still need to be strengthened? For my money at full back and on the wing we have sufficient quality and numbers but we are still short at centre, Purtell doesn't do enough for me and Blythe is more of a second rower. In the halves I think Gaskell will be a very strong signing to put pressure on Gale and Sammut and there is always Addy to cover. At hooker we are if anything too strong as I think O'Brien may get slightly fed up of being 3rd choice but hopefully he gets an oppurtunity to step up. At prop I think we need one more in addition to Evans, we were very lucky that Nas and Scruton stayed injury free for the majority of the season, although I am hoping Carvell shows the same consistency he has for Warrington all season. Our second row is for me our strongest area with Bateman, Addy, Olbison, Walker, Blythe and Donaldson, if you add into that the aggression and strong running of Ferguson I think we will have a very competitive pack.

So that sums it up for me, one specialist centre, a utility back (to cover centre primarily) and another prop to cover injuries. Would love to get other people's feedback as to what they think our squad is looking like for next year.

Rumours going around that Curtis Naughton is on his way to Oz. Looked a decent prospect!

His twitter reads

"Just booked a 1 way flight to Oz in 2 weeks #newstart #NRL"

Think it's pretty safe to say he won't be part of the 2014 squad
