With no risk of relegation then it doesn't make much sense to sack a coach at an early stage of the season, however he certainly shouldn't be in charge next year unless there is a major improvement, however the failings in his team are re-occurring and there is no evidence to suggest he or his coaching staff have the ability to rectify this.
A decision will have to be made before too long though, so the club can get the ball rolling in terms of idenitifying a replacement with recruitment for next season in mind.
While I think Wigan have overachieved with the squad they have by finishing in 3rd in the last two seasons I don't think Noble should be considered for a return, Superleague has evolved and I'm not sure his coaching style has.
