Which would be a fair standpoint from a person who didn't seem to criticise every outbreak of it without ever offering constructiv reasoning.
Progress requires change, experimentation, running the risk of ridicule, etc. Fax cocked it up pretty soundly in the marketing department back in 95 at the same time as the Leeds and Bradfords got it right, but this looks ok to me - a new look grounded in history, tradition, etc. Good luck to them as, like many on here, I would like them to succeed so we can play them again regularly.

So what's the rationale behind the Bulls???? What connection do Bradford Steam Pigs have to a Bull pre 1996
Homage to Chicago, then one of the leading sports clubs in the world. Similar to why Leeds wear white FWIW.
As for Fax, they could go with the cat if they wanted but it seems they've fallen between two stools. I can understand a reluctance to go with 'Bombers', particularly since 7/7.
St Helens and Hull FC both have strong brands other than the name of their town - Saints; FC/Airlie Birds. Halifax... well, they purged Blue Sox with RLFC. But now Poppa clearly thinks the 'no nickname, town coat of arms badge' is lacking something. I think he should have had the courage of his convictions and given the club a motif that it can work with.
Our visitors seem to forget that even the much maligned 'Blue Sox' name was chanted as often as 'Halifax' while it was in service. Get the right name, embrace it with conviction and kick on. In the meantime just be grateful your chairman didn't name you after the team he supports.
