Aye. The training facilities HAVE to be close to the M62, between Odsal and around J27, because of the logistics of players - most especially the youngsters - getting there. Have them near the M62, and you have a very large travel-to-training catchment areas. Bear in mind that for many of the youngsters you are talking the taxi of mum and dad in evenings. medders said last night that they had been able to sign up five youngsters from ROCHDALE specifically because the training base is so convenient for the motorway. Essential to be able to draw from as wide an area as possible given the dearth of junior teams in Bradford. Medders said something like we had 4 compared with 20 in Leeds, for example.

Location was one very big reason why they had to move away from Woodhouse Grove for training. Anyone who travels across Bradford, and enjoys the delights of Greengates traffic lights and all the rest, will realise what a crock of poop that journey from Odsal/motorway involves.

Incidentally, Medders said last night Carvell has said how good the Tong facility is - apparently at least as good as anything at Warrington, Moran's millions notwithstanding.

The academy might have used the pitches at Wagon Lane in the past but from my own experience of facilities at Bees I'd say they're some way behind what we have at Tong and are in the wrong part of town for reasons Adey states above.

Don't the Bradford Uni RL team now play at Wagon Lane on Wednesday afternoons?

More to the point after current weather you would need scuba gear to play on the Wagon Lane pitches.

I think one important point to take from the BEES set up is that though they haven't been very successful they have full junior teams through most age groups - mainly lads from local G Schools trying to get in the school team. So I would hazard a guess that most kids who are playing rugby in Bradford are playing the other variety?

Yeah sorry wasn't very clear, did mean training would help both clubs I would think.

Bradford Uni are playing their BUCS fixtures at Tong according to Paul Medley last night.

Thought the meeting was very positive last night and the passion which Paul Medley spoke with in relation to providing future first teams with homegrown talent was inspiring.

It was also good to put names to faces after meeting a few of you there (AdeyBull, MDF and FA to name just three). Funny how nobody ends up looking how you picture them. Lol

Anyway, back to Bullbuilder... if Tong is the venue that on the short term keeps the production line of youngsters coming through, then that is what I believe we need to support.

In the long term, I hope that the club grows to the point that it can begin to invest in facilities that it owns and I believe that Odsal can become an all-incompasing venue for training and matchdays, first team through to the junior teams. If I can help support that in any way then I'd be delighted.

So well done for the work so far and let hope that between us we can keep supporting the club in the years to come!!!

Any chance you could convince him to help the juniors out or maybe even assistant. One of the best I've ever seen play for Bradford that man. My favourite bulls player of all time.

And ditto. Was good to meet you, and thought you had some very interesting ideas indeed. Very much enjoyed our chat. Don't know how you got on with Mark after I introduced you, but you were (I thought) one of quite a few people last night who really showed how much potential goodwill and support and expertise there is that the club could draw upon, if it chose to.

But yes I know, seeing some of us posters on here in the dreadful reality must indeed have been hard! I know many folk on here must assume I am a clone of Brad Pitt or George Clooney, so I can fully understand your total devastation when you learned the awful truth... although you must have been as amazed as so many others have been when you saw the honed athlete that is FA? I agree that seeing all those gorgeous girls doing his every whim, worshipping the very ground he walks on, is a bit galling. And you can fully understand why Tigertot, safely ensconced with his butler and the chauffeur in Tot Towers in Surrey-in-Yorkshire is SO dead jealous. But you must admit, its hard to fault their judgment?

But OK, back to reality, a personal view: I was SO chuffed with the turnout last night. But I was even MORE chuffed with the clear dedication and commitment and enthusiasm to help that came across SO strongly from those who came. I thought there were some excellent questions asked and points raised. And suggestions proposed. I LOVED the cupcakes idea!!! Seriously!!! But there were so many others.

We had no idea at all what Medders would have to say. Nothing had been scripted or rehearsed whatsoever. But I thouht he played a blinder, again, since he just told it how it was. And did I feel so proud that we had helped with some of the things he told us about, things that did make a real difference? Too bloody right I did! But so should very member of Bullbulider!!!! You heard from Paul what a dfference what we did makes?

And, as for the guy who gave me such a hard time over the mechanics of how the Trust worked - he was dead right to ask! Every question he asked was spot on, to be honest. I was really so pleased that we had folk who had thought enough about it, and who cared enough, to take the trouble to raise these sort of questions. If folk did not care, they would not take the trouble. Bloody marvellous! I hope we answered his questions to his satisfaction - I know I waffled on a bit, but I hope he came away seeing we are all fighting the same battle?

I was worried we would have very few people wanting to get more involved with Bullbuilder, and maybe come on board. I could not have been more wrong, and I am delighted to be able to say that!! It looks like we had some outstanding people step up to the plate. We can do things, guys. Good things. We really can!

I keep saying it, but together we ARE stronger. We really are. I came away last night proud to be a Bulls fan. Lets do it, guys? Lets spit in their eye and give them a bloody nose, eh? And lets make the buggers' eyes water? Let's show them what a load of determined Bulls can do, people? because we bloody well can!

Just watch us.
