PopTart the original format has been changed, trust us on this one

Originally the team finishing 2nd in the championship seemed to have the better of the fixtures, which was obviously not right, so the RFL changed it mid season and probably hoped nobody would notice, which is obviously par for the course for them

Would I lie to you about the fixture change? Other people can confirm this to your satisfaction, no doubt.
And where did I mention the decision to arrange the televised game was either wrong or right?

The information I gave was factual, with a bit of speculation admittedly, but that , in my opinion, didn't detract from the facts, nor was it critical of Wakefield, whatever I think?

You have turned it into something that suits your feelings on the subject, which is OK, but don't attempt to shoot the messenger.

The title of the thread and comments about Wakefield implied you had issue with Wakefield. If you say not I'm fine with that.
But saying you won't go because you don't want to give money to Wakefield is exactly not supporting your club.

As for the fixtures. Clearly it affected Bradford so you would notice more than me. I was just saying I hadn't seen them change. They don't seem to have for us.

Anyway, let's see how this weekend goes. It would be nice to be watching two teams with 2 points each next week.

It is "Fifita" not "Fafita"

If you don't know the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" I might get annoyed.

PopTart, the fixtures were changed a few weeks ago. Another endearing moment for the RFL.

I understand the sentiment of the OP however I think his choice of action is maybe not correct. Why not go instead and show a protest banner to make your message?

Your team needs your support so to deny it because you have a dispute with the RFL is penalising an innocent.

I agree the funding for these middle 8 televised matches stinks and is unfair.

The RFL always seems to muddle through at first missing the obvious.

In terms of the 80k put in the pot, just have a look at how many home televised matches Wakey have had on Sky this year. Saints and Wigan spring to mind but I'm struggling to think of many beyond that. Crikey even Warrington get more appearances in a month and they've had a shocker of a season so far.

Come on down to the oldest RL ground in the world on Sunday and support your team. You are all welcome.

A band played Rebellion festival this weekend called Geoffrey Oicott. Could we Oicott Wakey instead?

Part of our (Leighs) problem with the Sky funding in the 8's is that logic says 7 weeks and all will get a live tv game 3pm saturday bar Sheffield who have no fans.
So when we get our 2 SL clubs as our first 2 fixtures at home live on Sky it stinks. Saturday crippled us 4500 when sunday would have been closer to 8000, even corporate was shafted as most regulars had booked corporate at Haydock parks big race day months beforehand. Probably cost us £60k we cant afford to throw away

Hi again PT,

May I refute your idea that I won't go to the Wakefield game because I wouldn't want to give money to the club, is ridiculous,to me anyway. I don't ever believe staying away and cutting off your nose to spite your face is the silliest reason to not go to any game!

As for your comment on fixtures, both Hull KR and Bradford are the affected teams, as we both were subjected to a home fixture against team 6 (the 12th Finisher in SL) which was changed to an away fixture. In fact team 6 in every instance was replaced by team 7 (Sheffield). This in no way is any fault of your club? But I asked why, and as supporters shouldn't we have been told by the RFL? If it was a logical reason don't we deserve to be told what it is?

As for the £80k per team, this was never mentioned in the original policy review, and of course the new Sky deal doesn't kick in until 2017, so this £80k either came out of the £300k SL clubs got at the end of 2014, as a parachute payment> but if that was the case why didn't they say so at the time??

My case now rests!
