Is it possible that Jimmy was aware of this situation which possibly explains his reaction at the end of the £1m game. Did he know more than us how important it was that we won and got that extra £1m into the club? Did he actually speak the truth in frustration?
If the HMRC did make a mistake and a club lost possible sales and investment because of it couldn't the club sue them. If so, I would be very surprised if it is a mistake. Surely they would get their facts right and inform the business before it was advertised - thus possibly badly affecting the businesses income. My gut feeling is there is some truth in this somewhere - but hopefully just a small amount which triggered an automatic reaction from HMRC.
This doesn't feel right to me and I assume the club has struggled again at some point.
It makes it clear to me that we MUST go up at the end of this next season otherwise we could be stuck here and downsize to match - which could see us become a permanent championship club until the RFL devise a plan to get us up, but they will only do that if the club is stable. If we have yet another financial crisis that could make the RFL decide we need to stay in the championship for many years till we have proven over a 5-10 year spell that we are run properly again. If we did mess up again and I were the RFL I wouldn't go out of my way to get us up for quite a few years of stability. Green taking over was our chance to show that. Lets hope we haven't just taken two steps backwards again and scared the RFL off finding a way of getting us up again.
Why should the RFL help you up.
What makes Bradford so special that you think you don't deserve to be where you are.
If you want out of the championship, earn it.
