think reason mentioned on london site was cost of living in london was too much for him on a championship wage.
Maybe I can comment on this slightly, how true I don't know.
Last year London were using part of their salary cap to cover the rent for players houses, this year they are not. The players will be getting paid a bit more but are having to cover all the living costs themselves now which as we know will be quite a lot in London, I do not know if this is the reason for him leaving London. I shall try find out
Andrew Henderson was in the media not long ago saying that London should have a larger salary cap or funding than other teams due to the cost of living.
In fairness, he may have a point as the cost of living is so much more. However you could also see the flip side of it being unfair on other clubs to get less funding just because of geographical location.

Well, 'London weighting' is the norm in national companies so I would have thought something like that could be worked out for to RL too? Though I guess the 'flat cappers' will be up in arms.
Absolutely gutted to see Lovegrove forced to leave us at London. Always gave 110% when on the pitch, gave us real grunt up front for all the time he was playing. Off the pitch, he was a real club man. Always ready to talk to the fans & fully bought into the London experience. Great signing for you & I wish him all the best
