Not here to rub anything in, just to try and compare what might happen on attendees based on what happened to us (London) last year when we failed to make the qualifiers. In the normal season we had about 700 average (apart from when we played you and Leigh), in the final 4 home games in the shield, the average dropped down to about 350ish (so about half).
Part of that is due to the meaningless fixtures (ie you have already qualified for the playoff fixtures), and the lure of playing Swinton, Oldham at home it not the same as playing Leeds and Hudds.
We also saw some of our players really went off the boil in some of the games (the home loss to Hunslet was the most dire London game I saw, and I have seen a lot of dire London performances over the years). However that game was the bottom, and since then we seem to have improved and kicked on.
Just grit your teeth over the next 2 months, make sure you win the teapot cup for pride more than anything else. You'll be back in the qualifiers next year.
