Looking at the response from players on twitter they were happy with the way they played. I thought, like a lot of others, we were poor and a decent team would have put us to bed easily.

Very flat in attack, not much in the way of support for much of the match and to be fair I was bored rigid after 60 mins. Very disappointing really. We need to hammer teams when we have that kind of advantage. We need that points difference sorted in case we can't break away at the top.

Totally agree with you. I have never come away from a match when we have scored over 50 points and be so underwhelmed.
Am I the only one who thinks Chisholm isn`t the player we saw playing for us first time round. I hope it`s just that he hasn`t fully recovered from his injury.

Chissy hasn't really been at the races for me. He does some good stuff but has looked 'flat' on occasion whilst his kicks haven't been quite spot on the money either - unlike Joe Keyes whose halfback play has been pretty superb. Joe has been the our outstanding and most dangerous half, imo with Pickersgill, not Chisholm, as his closest rival. I guess he'll come good since, as he's previously shown, he's a good player when in form.

On yesterday's game, I though Coventry were a solid and workmanlike side. They kept their line, didn't miss that many tackles and if they could come up with better attacking plays will trouble a few sides in this division. From our POV; we did OK. Not outstanding, even with 52 points, but we got back on track and didn't lose composure like last week. 8 out of 10. Special praise for Steve Crossley - he must be shattered.

The defense for Coventry's try was woeful. No one seemed to want to actually claim the ball and the resulting bounce gave Coventry the spark of hope which meant they were able to rally a bit stronger in defense than if that zero had remained on the scoreboard

Not wanting to catch the ball was our biggest problem in defence, though we got away with it quite a few times. To be fair, they were a bit fortunate on their try as, if Pickersgill hadn't lost his footing, we'd have got away with it again - though whether we would have deserved to do so is a moot point. If you catch the ball it it makes defence a lot easier.

Agree with most of the comments. Thought our attacking play certainly could've been better, Chisholm looked off the pace, he came off with a tweaked hamstring, maybe it was bothering him earlier? Whatever he didn't look himself and his kicking from the hand was poor. We should've built more pressure than we did but too often kicked dead or dropped the ball.

Coventry never gave up and deserve a pat on the back for their effort. I thought we struggled with their kick offs. Had they had any backs of note they might have scored a few since we looked a bit disorganised at times out wide and survived due to poor play from the Coventry backs.

A couple of things for the players to learn, don't let a ball bounce and if the ball is on the ground you dive on it and don't try and pick it up.

We looked very underdone to me and I hope there's a big improvement for the Donny game or we'll get beaten.

I think Chisholm is lacking in confidence, that’s my opinion, he has deffo lost his zip, the over head chips the running, he seems very much more defensive now, I just hope that we can keep Keyes fit because without him I feel we offer nothing, Flanagan brings a lot to the table off the bench he tries to speed it up, but by the time he comes on, both us and the opposition are shot, I don’t think we made our second clean break yesterday till well into the 70th minute, and that is quite alarming considering who we were playing

The thing with Chisholm is that he has been out for over a year with a serious injury. Any sort of injury to the leg following his return is a cause for worry, not least to the player. Hopefully, his early withdrawal from yesterday's game and the imposed week off against Warrington will allow him time to properly heal up and be ready for the Doncaster game as we need everyone firing on all cylinders for that one

Think we'll see the best of Chisholm when the grounds harden up. Still looked very heavy the pitch yesterday.

Still find it hard to believe that Keyes is only part time. As far as I know he isn't one of the lads with a good job away from rugby. We're going to need to get him signed up before he gets a better offer elsewhere.

I agree with Bull Mania . I think once the grounds firm up we will see the best of Chisholm. A few players were slipping and sliding all over the place yesterday.
