I'd be surprised if he avoids a ban (having said that they tend not to hand out bans for friendlies as I seem to remember us and Keighley didn't get anyone banned for the 3 all in brawls from a friendly)
You have to ban someone for persistent, continued violence: who first of all knees the head of a player on the ground, then hits him twice to the head when he is held by two players. You can see Elliot is trying to get away, he wants nothing to do with it. Its a basic duty of care to the players to punish such action as a deterrence. its not a quick pop/handbags at 100 yards job. But it is the RFL, and the Bulls are to blame for everything, so expect Elliot to get a five year ban and we play with 12 players for that period.
