Very good effort but lacked a bit of composure and class to kill the game off I thought. Competed a lot better than I expected so credit where it is due for a big efffort from the players. Thought the referee did pretty well and it was a lot more enjoyable than a lot of SL games in terms of entertainment value.

As a side note I decided to look for a match report on bbc, sky sports, sportinglife for an idea of attendance. According to those websites the game didn’t even happen, is there really so little interest in our sport?

I’ll give you this.. It is suppose to be a summer game.

You got up for that can you continue? Full time counted for nothing in that match.

That’s the main issue for my mind but we have to if we want to keep building and compete in 3-5 years time.

No easy games but we’ve beaten batley in a tight one and taken leigh close. We have to take that momentum into Workington (without a win) and put in a good performance and not stutter to a half arsed effort.

I said it before the leigh league game but valiant losers is the correct tag tonight. (Naturally on that day we were blown away in the second half though :( )

I’m just very glad to see a Bradford side with such commitment and passion. Very well played and excellent game plan. Massive difference from our last encounter.

Given the difficulties the club have had this week, that’s some performance..

Well done..

Bradford fans made their presence heard (listening on BBC Manchester) though the mic was in that stand. Hard to judge from that bowl of yours but the roars seemed raucous yet thin. Hope you made a few bob and that it tempts a few of the doubters back.

Looking forward to seeing it on "BullTube" :thumb:

Really enjoyed the game and we just came up short at the end. The team I thought seemed better without Crossley , I don't know if he was injured or dropped but it was the best I've seen them play for a while and I'm glad that I went even though it was a bit chilly !

Interesting point. I don't think Steve's been right all year. If he's not well or carrying a niggle it makes sense.

Cruel way to lose. Really enjoyable game, every man worked their absolutely nuts off tonight, when it could have been quite easy to roll over and let Leigh steam roll us.

We look so much better with both Patton and Lilley in the team, Gills try was a pearler.

We need to set that performance as the bench mark for the rest of the year and we'll be comfortably in the play-offs.

Well it sounds like we competed for the full 80 and I didn't expect that so I hold my hand up. Hopefully we can maintain our performance levels to something like that for our league games.

First time I've seen Kibula play, initially excited to see what he could offer when he came on.. big lad etc. Didn't seem to run with much purpose or aggression last night. Understand he is coming back from injuries so perhaps early days. Hope he's not another one of those forwards who look to have it all physically but lack that bit of mongrel.

To be fair to Kibula, as soon as he got the ball, 3 men were opon him instantly. He's not played rugby for two years due to covid and an achilles injury. Hopefully the more he plays the better he'll be. Remember us not being able to handle him when he played for Swinton.

I remember that. Didn't he also play well against us for Dewsbury too? Hopefully he can get a run of matches and get some fitness.
