I'm not sure there's been much "abuse" of Franny at all. I think the overwhelming majority of Bulls fans very much appreciate his efforts and committment, I know I do, and wish him well. I think this majority also recognised - as did Green - that things couldn't go on as they were. As seemingly does Disko:
"The facts are that ..., as a group of players, we have not transferred the skills, game-plans and attitude that is of a high standard on the training field into our competitive games.
"This is something the some of most successful coaches in the world would struggle to remedy.
The players are ultimately at fault and should shoulder the blame for the club's league position
Given where we are, you can't get away from blunt and direct questions as to why so often the players have run out to perform as appallingly as they so often have. That is not personal abuse. I don't know what to make of Disko's comment that the world's most successful coach would struggle to transfer reasonable standards into game play but if he is right then how the hell do we get out of that one?
I know he disagrees with sacking Franny, but if any coach in the world would struggle to get us to play, what would be Disko's suggestion? Stop like that?
