There is a frenzy because people are so used to being involved with the goings on in the club. Not only that, but they want to be involved. Once there is no communication you get the disconnect that other people have talked about. After the disconnect you will get apathy. Perhaps they should remember the old adage "Suppose they gave a party and nobody came".
I think this is the most worrying part to me. It's not so much that I think the club is doomed to fall into a financial abyss because they're not talking to fans. It's that them not talking to fans is turning a lot of fans into casual supporters. You've only got to look at a few of the people on here that are saying they are starting to feel no connection and are losing interest, some of them are some of the more loyal fans and ones who have been involved in the likes of Bullbuilder in the past. If they're losing interest, what are the more casual fans feeling?
I certainly know a couple of fans myself who sat near me last season and don't bother going any more, because they just don't feel the same love for the club, and I believe that's down to this kind of thing.
If it carries on too long, the club is potentially losing even more fans and if it has any designs of wanting to get into Super League in future, it can't afford to lose too many more.
