SUPER LEAGUE HOOKER JOINS ON LOAN
BRADFORD Bulls have secured the services of Wakefield Wildcats hooker Stuart Howarth on loan.
The 26-year-old has joined the Bulls on a month’s loan,
due to a knee injury to Academy graduate hooker Joe Lumb.
Howarth, who came through the Wigan Warriors Academy, has played over 100 times in the Super League at spells at Salford, St Helens, Hull FC and Wakefield.
The hooker tasted his first Bradford Bulls action in training today and is looking to get going in a red, amber and black shirt.
“I can’t wait to get going now at this massive club,” said Howarth.
“Hopefully, I’ll be in the team on Sunday and I can help the team towards another two points.
“I am a playmaking number nine. I am going to play a lot with the ball and create things and Rohan has given me a free reign in the middle.
“I’m looking forward to getting out onto the pitch and playing some rugby and enjoying myself.”
“It’s a good opportunity to strengthen our squad,” said Head Coach Rohan Smith, sponsored In Memory of Joyce Dobby.
“Joe Lumb has had a bit of bad news with a knee injury, which will set him back a few weeks, so we needed to bring in some depth at dummy-half.
“Stu has got a lot of experience and he’s a craft dummy-half and I look forward to him doing what he does best.”
Didn't realise Lumb was injured, no news on Clark yet
