A coach who insists on, and coaches, the team to do the following would suit me :-
1. Pay attention at all opposition kick-offs and attempt to catch the ball.
2. Attack opposition at opposition play-the-ball, at speed. Do not amble a couple of steps and stop.
3. Rather than a flat attacking line when we have the ball, get some depth so players run onto the pass.
4. Do not pass to a player standing still!
5. Play the ball quickly.
6. Do not kick out on full from our kick off.
7. Support ANY player who has the ball - you never know when line will be broken.
8.Make sure touch is found from free kicks.
That will do for starters,it would curb a lot of my frustrations at any rate but am sure our expert posters can add a few more.
Think we managed to achieve numbers 1,6 and 8; but thats about it.
